"SB 1341 MEDIA ARTS IN CA ED CODE"

SB 1341 (Allen) - Pupil Instruction - Media Arts, would list “media arts” in CA Educational Code Sections 51210 (5) and 51220 (g), alongside of dance, music, theater, and visual arts. If passed by state legislators and signed by the Governor, this would set national precedent for media arts in its official designation as a distinct arts subject area, in parity with the other arts disciplines! This is supported by all arts education professional associations - CDEA, CMEA, CETA, and CAEA, and their national affiliates in the National Coalition for Core Arts Standards!
